DG makes the MOST beautiful jewelry, with sensuous curves, sweet little saw cuts and sterling silver stamped using stamping tools he makes himself from carving on a wooden dowel or nail head. It's clear that he loves blue gemstones and he often does use Turquoise. What he really likes though are more unusual semi precious stones, and designing settings that show them off. These may look like variations of Turquoise but they are really more exotic, Paua Shell, Azurite, and Amazonite - carefully chosen seldom-seen gemstones of exceptional quality and painterly appearance (just as beautiful and precious as Turquoise though something entirely different).
