That fantastic luminescent stone, labradorite, must have been the model for this layered oil painting. It's one of my favorite stones and Julia has captured the nuances of the kind of oil-slick surprising iridescence very well. The best part of labradorite is that it looks so different as you turn the stone in your hand -- or look at it in different lighting. I think the same is true of this painting. Amazing work, Julia!
