This simply elegant tall vase reminds me of Oriental art, bamboo against a white background. What a perfect stand for an umbrella at the front door, holding a dried flower or peacock feather next to the fireplace mantle, or displayed on it's own shelf on the wall. This is a masterfully created vase, sturdy and ready for a collector of North Carolina pottery.
Jerry Fowler began making pottery in High School. He studied Ceramics under Carlton Ball at Univ.
of Southern California and built catenary
arch kilns at UCR and in Brazil. Pieces
on display have been fired in a variety of ways.
