      What a beautiful scene, delightfully depicting pairs of more than one kind. There are two swans, close in proximity, yet each facing a different direction. I see both serenity and aliveness in the painting.  Colors are both vibrant and muted.  The red gives each swan a proud regal sense, yet there is a cloudlike softness to the pink-tinged white feathers that invite touch.               ~ Mariah Wheeler
