Danielle Du Clos paints incredible mandalas on old records. Amazingly, she does it by hand without measuring or laying it out on any kind of grid. This design in blues, violets and yellows is quite intricate and cheerful, working it's mandala magic by drawing you toward its center. The black of the vinyl is where the grooves reveal the canvas as a record. The mandala hangs beautifully from the hole in the middle.
Danielle says "I began painting these records with oils and acrylics when a neighbor asked me to take his old records and spare them from the landfill. I love working and playing with the circle, inviting a bit of chaos in as I gradually find balance. As a musician and nature lover (soon to be farmer) I enjoy discovering new rhythms and watching these records blossom with a new life."
