"Teapot Birdhouse"
Beth Shaffer
various utensils!, ~ 7" x 7"
$45
Beth Shaffer is just as much fun as her wind chimes and these whimsical birdhouses. This one is small, made from an old fashioned recycled single cup tea or coffee pot -- with that friendly worn look that Kerugs just don't have! The lid makes a nice rainshield roof, and there are two places for the bird to perch while feeding her/his young. Just imagine the sweet tinkling sound of a light rain combining with the yearning tweets of the young.
Beth says, "I make whimsical wind chimes from reclaimed
recyclables. My great grandfather was a blacksmith. Funny to think that
three generations later that I'm working with metal. It must be in the
genes. I would like to think he would like my work!"
