Kathryn Bertok "Earrings" at the Joyful Jewel 1-15-14

Kathryn Bertok Earrings

Kathryn Bertok makes earrings almost anyone will wear.  Dangles so full of rings that they flex like silk and tinkle softly in your ear, and spiral wire work with just enough gemstone embellishment.  There really isn't anything like chain mail to merge hard and soft, providing a slip-through-your-fingers sensual experience!

Kathryn Bertok "Shaggy Drops" necklace & earrings at the Joyful Jewel 9-17-13

"Shaggy Drops" Necklace & Earrings

Kathryn Bertok

Sterling Silver Chain Maille & Faceted Glass Beads

Necklace $38, Triple Drop Earrings $26

Kathryn Bertok reminds us that it's a shaggy kind of day -- just the day to wear these jingly earrings and their equally jangly necklace.  Built in motion along with Swarovski sparkle, just what I expect from jewelry, able to give a lift and a bounce, a reason to dance and skip.

Kathryn Bertok "Tree of Life" necklace at the Joyful Jewel 6-29-13

"Tree of Life" Necklace

Kathryn Bertok

Sterling Silver and Pearl

$40

Kathryn Bertok has intricately wrapped these pearls in a circle of sterling silver.  Although the color and leaf shape would be different, this piece reminds me of the magesty of 100s of years old live oak trees I have seen with a wild gnarled spreading trunk and broad canopy of leaves.  A tree of life indeed, having lived through the centuries, home to a cacophony of wildlife, and changing it's very environment by its imposing structure.
