Handcrafted excellence along with an interesting creative edge and flow is what Anna Kurtz brings to her masterful jewelry making.  In this piece she has inlaid sterling silver into two pieces of ancient ironwood.  Anna doesn't name her pieces so we have only our own responses in appraising her pieces.  I imagine this one to be two whales noodling each other in an icy waved sea.  To me it is a powerful view of connection and play.

What fun shapes and components the imaginative Laura Seymore has found and designed to create these earrings.  Laura collects things and re-imagines materials such as cork, wooden spools and even yogurt containers.  I imagine that her friends all bring her old earrings which she deconstructs and then re-assembles into a completely new design!   Laura makes her own components too such as with polymer clay, metal or fiber.  She is wildly creative as you can see in the variety shown in just in this small sampling.

      This is one of my newest pieces, a dimensional necklace of copper that looks as if it would ripple like cloth.  The color is a verdigris induced by acidic chemicals making the beautiful green of aged copper.  There is some brown wax pigment added here and there and the untreated copper shows through a bit too.  I wanted a little shine so used a satin lacquer to protect the piece in place of the matte that I often use.  The chain is sterling silver with big links so that you can hook it anywhere depending on where you'd like the necklace to fall and ripple along with the fabric of your clothing.

          As if one truly spectacular Opal wasn't enough, DG Chandler added another smaller, very firey opal to his Sterling Silver design.  The larger Boulder Opal is like a mysterious swirling galaxy or deep intriguing pool of magic.  This piece is hand fabricated and hand stamped, using DG's original stamping tools.  He continued his skillful handwork to make a bail which matches the carved design on the piece using larger strokes.  The necklace is hung from a purchased Sterling Silver rope chain that drapes especially well on the neck.

  Jaunty, I think this is the word to describe this Monnda Welch necklace.  The iridescent enamel colors on silver show the layers, probably a few different colors of blue, some coppery brown and maybe silvery white.  I can imagine Monnda putting on a layer, firing, adding another layer, firing, etc. until she got the perfect blue.  She sets this piece of with ethereal Blue Lace Agate beads and a hand fabricated sterling silver clasp.
