This painting is of three dogs from my neighborhood all at (one--on, two-- next to) the little bridge over our little piece of Brooks Creek. Kate is thin and lithe, Isaac is a lab and more solid, and Chica is a little mystery breed, much more charcoal-colored than the blue I painted her. Blue was what was needed in the painting, tho. Dogs are of the moment and completely IN their moments which is why they are so much fun to paint and watch.
