I see a Fall crepe myrtle on my way into work each day just as colorful as this one painted in oils by Rita Baldwin. I know it's only for a brief time but isn't it wonderful to see this brightness, very much like a Spring color blooming again! And crepe myrtles are a favorite winter tree of many, including me, because of their sinewy shaped trunks and immaculate creamy smooth dappled bark. They are a beautiful tree with a different thing to love each time of year.
