Larrie Collura "Walking Stick" at the Joyful Jewel 5-7-15

Walking Stick
Larrie Collura

Larrie crafts his walking sticks from locally harvested wood from the Forest of Pittsboro.  He is also a sax player, a chef, a painter and does other woodwork.  He lets the wood tell him what to do!

Larrie Collura "Cedar Coat Rack with Frog" at the Joyful Jewel 8-24-13

Cedar Coat Rack with Frog

Larrie Collura

~ 64" x 24" cedar

$150

Larrie has created two of these coat trees.  I like this one especially because of the little frog, 5th branch down on the left side in this picture, which was made by his wife potter Linda Collura.  They also made bird baths together - Larrie making the stands of gathered cedar and Linda making a big bathing bowl adorned with her enchanting critters.  The cedar Larrie uses is found in his and neighboring lands in Chatham Forrest right in downtown Pittsboro!
